Brittany is an empty area of France, so traffic is almost always light.
The standard French rules apply, which are similar to UK rules expect in the followingh areas.
Drive on the right - "Serrez a Droite".
In built up areas give way to traffic from the right - "Priorite a Driote" - that is traffic coming out of a side road on your side of the road.
The yellow in white diamond sign tells you when you have priority.
The same sign with a black diagonal bar across it means you do not have priority.
There is also the "Cedez Le Passage" sign on roundabouts where you give way to traffic on the roundabout - same rule as in the UK.
|
You have priority - normal on the open road.
|
|
You do not have priority - normally in towns.

There are speed limits on all roads in Brittany and France similar to the UK.
The start of a built up area is marked with the mane of the town on a white rectangular sign with a red edge.
The end is makred with a similar sign, but with a diagonal line through the nasme of the town.
All areas between these signs are dsignated as built up areas.
